First Doll Inspiration for 2019 - JoJo Siwa

One of my nieces is an uber fan of teen pop star Jo Jo Siwa.  JoJo (Joelle Joanie) is a viral sensation and her popularity means the merchandise quickly left the shelves this holiday season.

Walmart released a huge bounty of "My Life as JoJo Siwa" Dolls.   

As mentioned, she did not last long, but I was still stoked.  This inspired me to recreate the outfit show above!

Below, Journey Girl (my designs may also fit My Life Dolls) Meredith, the blond hair/blue-eyed sporty sensation models the tribute outfit!  I only made two completed sets.  One was shipped to my niece, the other is now up for sale at eBay!

American Girl Doll Clothes by B.O.C.

Lately, I have received a message inquiring if we design for the American Girl Dolls in my eStores.  We are open to direct sell customers, who would like a personal design by Beauty of Creating.  You may take a look at our Journey Girl Collections and message us for direct sell inquiries here, IG, Pinterest, or Facebook. 

We are considering offering a few options this year based on the highest demand of inquiry for our Journey Girl Dolls.  If the support returns favorable, we will be inspired to design more.

Journey Girl Dolls were and remain the flagship doll of support, despite their reduced inventory worldwide as a result of the liquidation of Toys 'R Us (TRU-US).  When we launched a tiny collection of clothes (Dec 2015), this doll inspired us like no other.  We were excited because we believed in Chavonne and this lead to us building a complete collector's haul. The support was tremendous, inspiring us to continue.  We did major investments towards gaining TRU some support for their Journey Girl Dolls.  We reached out to family and friends. We  pushed even harder in the 2016 and 2017, to very little return of interest.  Only a handful wanted the doll.  Many who said the price was too high turned to the AG doll that costs 3x the points of Journey Girl's.

The Journey Girl doll retailed at $40 at TRU.  When I began a partnership with TRU, I tracked and reported any and all sales on the dolls.  Very often the dolls dipped significantly to half price.  Smart shoppers stocked them high for future sale.  Those dolls immediately began to disperse at typical retail matched prices until the company released bankruptcy and dissolving their US stores.  The online/private sell prices began to increase due to the impending shortened supply.

I remain invested in the Journey Girl Doll.  Although I do not purchase at the same rate of past, I still collect these dolls.  I love sewing for them, dressing them, styling for them, and taking their photos.  Journey Girl Dolls keep me busy and they keep me inspired!  I have so much in store for them. I get goose-bumps just thinking about what is next! 

With that said, I am open to direct sell customers only who desire styles by Beauty of Creating for any doll of 18" that I can access.

Calendar Arrival!

It is here!  I am so excited and thrilled to display the awesome results.  Shutterfly impressed me with their editing and printing talent! 

I headed all warnings regarding the photo resolution to ensure the final results would display as I intended.

Most of the months pages I edited the background to reflect my designs, bypassing the default template.  Well done!  I paid the shipping on this project and it arrived on Saturday, just four days after I submitted the project!  I am very pleased and ready to disperse to Shutterfly an awesome review! 

This gives me the courage to do this every year, given that I have enough images to sift through.  I must admit, that this past year was my most viable contribution and I cannot thank my family, friends, and visitors for the encouragement to shoulder this immense project!

Memory Calendar by Shutterfly

For the past three years, around the first of each year, the anticipatory event is a calendar.  And for each year, my desire to collate various shots of my Journey Girls just could not materialize.  I often had plenty of photos, but not an arrangement befitting a full year.

I made a goal for 2018: Fill in the gaps especially for the outfits that centered around a holiday, season, or theme.  I actually had enough to make this work!  The plan is for next year, repeat the same.  The months that are most lean on stock photo are from February - April.  I want my calendar ready to roll out as early as possible for 2020.

What could help me in this effort...I need the vendors to roll out the coupon codes in December.  The code sent to me by both JoAnn's and Kellogg's grants me a free 8x11 wall calendar.  I had the option to upgrade to the 12x12, but we'll see for next year, if all goes well!

The calendar delivers within the next  1-2 weeks.  I am anxious to see the results!  I promise to share and review.  Click the image below for a sneak peek!
